Quick ‘n Easy Tech Support – Privacy Policy

Quick ’n Easy Tech Support (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and protect your data.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of personal information when you contact us, request a quote, book a service, or communicate with us:

  • Contact Details: First name, last name, email address, address, mobile number, home phone, and work phone

  • Device Details: Type (required), brand, model, and serial number (optional)

  • Software Details: Software name (required), version and company name (optional)

Where practicable, you may choose to remain anonymous or use a pseudonym when contacting us, such as for general enquiries. However, for service quotes or support requests, full details are required.

2. How We Collect Information

We collect personal information in the following ways:

  • Via our online contact and quote request forms

  • By phone or in-person communication

  • Through booking requests (current or future)

  • Automatically through Wix website services, including cookies (see Section 9 below)

By using our forms, you acknowledge and agree to this Privacy Policy.

3. Why We Collect This Information

We collect this information to:

  • Communicate with you effectively

  • Issue accurate quotes, invoices, and receipts

  • Build user profiles in our Service Desk Platform (SDP)

  • Fulfil legal obligations (e.g., record of agreement to our Terms of Service)

  • Perform internal analysis to monitor service trends and improve offerings (analytical purposes only)

4. How We Store Your Information

Emails containing personal information are stored securely within our Microsoft 365 Business Basic tenancy (Microsoft Privacy Policy).

If you proceed with the service, your data is stored in your user profile on our Service Desk Platform (SDP)(SDP Privacy Policy).

For invoicing and payment, details are processed through the MYOB Solo app (MYOB Privacy Policy).

Inactive quotes and email correspondence will be deleted within 7 days if the customer does not proceed. You can request deletion earlier via email.

Any backups created as part of your service are stored temporarily on secure, encrypted storage (e.g., external drives or password-protected cloud services) and are deleted within 48 hours, unless otherwise requested.

No personal data is stored permanently on physical devices or unencrypted systems.

Cross-border Disclosure Notice: Some of the services we use (e.g., Microsoft 365 and MYOB Solo) may store data on servers located outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers comply with privacy obligations consistent with Australian standards, in accordance with APP 8.

 

 

5. Who We Share Your Information With

We only share your information with:

  • Our Microsoft 365 tenancy (email and document storage)

  • Our Service Desk Platform (SDP) (user accounts, service history)

  • MYOB Solo (for invoicing and payment tracking)

We do not sell, rent, or disclose your personal information to third-party marketers or unaffiliated services unless you provide clear, explicit consent in writing.

6. Marketing Communications

From time to time, we may offer a newsletter or similar updates regarding our services. Subscription is entirely optional and opt-in only.

Your contact details will only be used for marketing purposes if you explicitly consent.

You may unsubscribe at any time.

We will never sell your information to third parties or use it for marketing without permission.

7. Accessing or Updating Your Information

You can request access to or correction of your personal data at any time by emailing us at admin@quickneasytechsupport.com

 

In future, you may choose to access or update your records through the SDP Self-Service Portal (when available).

Until then, contact us directly for any data changes.

 

 

8. Security Measures

We take your data security seriously. Measures include:

  • Password-protected cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365)

  • Encrypted access to service platforms (e.g., SDP)

  • Temporary backups stored on encrypted or secure cloud drives, deleted within 48 hours

  • Limited access to data on a need-to-know basis

  • Manual deletion of data for non-clients within 7 days

We encourage all clients to avoid sharing sensitive personal data unless absolutely necessary.

9. Cookies and Website Tracking

Our website is hosted on Wix, which may automatically collect information such as cookies or browsing behaviour for basic analytics or service improvement. You can manage or disable cookies via your browser settings.
